the services
The services comprise the preparation of a safety and health protection plan as well as the preparation of documents for future maintenance and repair works. Furthermore, a coordinator for safety and health protection has to be provided for the period of the rehabilitation and recultivation measures at the former solid waste disposal site Aach. His task is to monitor the compliance with the safety and health protection plan and the realisation of the necessary safety measures by all personnel concerned.
In the course of the rehabilitation measures, about 100.000 m³ waste need to be relocated. Thus, contaminated material, leachate water and waste gas have to be dealt with. Although the dump site has not been used since more than 20 years, one has to presume that harmful substances can be released and can cause a serious danger for the personnel concerned. Thus, the main focus of the tasks of the coordinator is to ensure that the necessary protection means for the safety protection of the staff are available, such as personal protective equipment, respirators, filters in excavators, metrological supervision, decontamination facilities as well as first-aid material and regular inspection of their application. Furthermore, preventive medical checkups before start of the construction works have to be initiated and the staff has to be instructed via operating instructions and regulations for the construction site.
