U.S. Embassy in Djibouti

The United States Embassy in Djibouti is a federal institution that serves as the United States' official diplomatic representation and seeks to understand and influence and report on Djibouti issues and those affecting the Inter-Government Authority for Development and the adjacent region of Northwest Somalia. It provides consular services to Americans and visa services to non-citizens residing in Djibouti and northwest Somalia. It has increased its education and health spending which now accounts for one-third of the national budget. Djibouti is heavily investing in its people and aims to improve regional stability and growth while ensuring that its people benefit from the tide of new employment and entrepreneurial possibilities.
