Beninese Agency for Rural Electrification and Energy Management

ABERME's mission is to implement state policy in the fields of rural electrification and energy management.

for this purpose, it is responsible for:

- carry out strategic studies, develop national and regional development programs, coordinate and monitor their implementation;

- carry out pilot demonstration projects;

- support the setting up of projects by various actors through the stimulation of local initiative, technical assistance, and the provision of various services;

- propose incentives and incentives that can help promote energy efficiency and private investment in rural electrification;

- to instruct investment projects seeking the benefit of incentives to promote rural electrification and energy management;

- to contribute to the development and strengthening of the national private sector in the fields of technical services provision and supply of equipment required for the development and implementation of rural electrification and energy management programs;

to contribute to the research and development of innovative technological solutions at a lower cost.
