Written and audiovisual evaluation
Why use audiovisual?
This specific use of audiovisual media was developed in collaboration with the French Development Agency and based on a body of research. Three audiovisual evaluation based on OECD criteria has been made. Audiovisual use constitutes a significant contribution in terms of evaluative elements that are different to those brought to light by the written approach as well as being complementary.
In short it provides the client with:
A better knowledge of his partners and beneficiaries - namely with direct spoken interventions.
A better understanding and anticipation of the project’s driving forces - as well as potential obstacles thanks to a clearer perception of the context and players.
A greater visibility for the evaluation with access to a wider public.
A break with the monotony of evaluative reports by integrating modern communication techniques.
Eric Mounier has been working on the use of audiovisual media in the evaluative process. This has resulted in three filmed evaluations and research papers.
He has 25 years experience in development aid, audiovisual. He has started to use audiovisual in evaluation process since 7 years.
Field of specialization: Rural development (agriculture, trade, environment, ICT, information)– public policy, water and sanitation), environment (forest, desertification), regional trade.
