PASSION

I am passionate about working with conflict-affected people and women, the reconstruction of states and societies after conflict, bringing a gender perspective into international aid, social justice, using data to improve aid programs, and contributing to organizational cultural change to increase employee satisfaction and motivation.

I am also an avid traveler and completed a yearlong backpacking trip through 23 countries between Poland and Israel.

EXPERIENCE

In the past 15 years, I have lived, worked and studied in Greece, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, India, Israel, Washington D.C., London, Brussels, and Berlin.

Non-profits I have worked for include organizations like the International Rescue Committee (IRC), Save the Children, Oxfam, GIZ, Search for Common Ground, Translators without Borders, and medica mondiale e.V.

Much of my work has focused on designing/conducting research/evaluation studies and setting up or improving monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning systems – e.g. quant./qual. tool design, sampling, training design/delivery, management of field teams/logistics, mobile data collection, analysis, reporting, and data utilization.

I have worked with major donors (DFID, ECHO, GIZ/BMZ, UNHCR, USAID) and directly managed teams of up to 15 people and budgets of up to 1 million euro.
