The results of the evaluation were communicated to the applicants via the Funding and Tenders Portal on 1 August 2022. In total, 40 proposals were awarded a grant and 8 proposals were placed on the reserve list. 

Summary of the results per priority

Priority 1 - racism, discrimination and intolerance - 151 proposals received

  • Award of grant to 24 proposals for the amount of EUR 7.729.522,55 (success rate 14%)
  • 4 proposals are placed on the reserve list
  • Rejection of 77 proposals for lack of budget
  • Rejection of 45 proposals due to insufficient relevance and/or quality

Priority 2 - Diversity management - 27 proposals received

  • Award of grant to 3 proposals for the amount of EUR 572.736,11 (success rate 15%)
  • 1 proposals are placed on the reserve list

Topic description
 
Scope:

The objective is to support a comprehensive and intersectional approach and specific actions to prevent and fight against intolerance, racism, xenophobia, and discrimination, in particular on grounds of racial or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, including when this manifests in the form of antigypsism, antisemitism, anti-Muslim hatred, Afrophobia and LGBTIQ phobia, offline and online.

The following priorities will be financed:

  1. Fighting against intolerance, racism, xenophobia, discrimination, hate speech and hate crimes.
  2. Promoting diversity management and inclusion at the workplace, both in the public and private sector.
  3. Fighting discrimination against LGBTIQ people and promoting LGBTIQ equality through the implementation of the LGBTIQ Equality Strategy.
  4. Preventing, reporting and countering hate speech online.
  5. Restricted to public authorities to improve their responses to (intersectional) discrimination, racism and xenophobia, in particular, based on racial or ethnic origin, religion, or colour as well on sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or sex characteristics.
