SRD Center seeks consultants to contribute in implementing Career Guidance Development assignment in Jordan. The consultancy is expected to develop and implement a model for a whole-school and community-based approach to career provision. The consultancy will assist the client in addressing a gap that severely disadvantages learning outcomes for all vulnerable children, especially for refugee children and children with disabilities whose families are underrepresented in the labor market and typically face multiple barriers to gaining employment.

The duration of the assignment will be approximately 3 months of fieldwork from end of Oct. 2021. Please note that CVs will be assessed on an ongoing basis and therefore qualified candidates are encouraged to send their CVs as early as possible.

Competencies for the Consultant

At least a Master’s degree in Education, Social Science, Political Sciences, Statistics or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in conducting evaluations for multi-sectoral/integrated program approach-based consortium projects/programs, collecting data and producing quality baseline/midterm/end line study reports, preferably for international non-governmental organizations or multilateral agencies.
Sectoral expertise and experience in emergency projects (mandatory).
Experience working in the conflict or post-conflict environments (preferred, not mandatory) Good knowledge of the context and the conflict in Northeast Syria, where the project is being implemented.
Experience of effective interaction with local non-government organizations, government departments, and population.
Strong established field-based structure to enable autonomous data collection.
Evidence of similar work in the recent past.
Ability to deliver report within the deadline set out in the TOR

Roles and Responsibilities of the Consultant

Contribute to the preparation of the design of the consultancy
Evaluate the thematic section of the country programme
Contribute in drafting the project deliverables
Take part in the data collection during the design and field phases
Be involved in the debriefing meeting
Deliver quality inputs on time
