Position Description:

SI is seeking an experienced, full-time Talent Acquisition Manager (TAM) to advise on talent acquisition initiatives across SI, and lead recruitment across proposals, projects, and HQ in the United States and internationally. The Manager will report to the Director of Talent Acquisition on day-to-day talent acquisition efforts, while also partnering with the People & Culture (P&C) team to ensure DEI are carried through. The successful candidate will be a proven recruiter who is pro-active, engaging and very organized, as well as one who brings excellent analytical and leadership experience. The TAM will have the opportunity to supervise other talent acquisition staff. This is a full-time position authorized to be fully remote or to be based in the Arlington, VA area on a hybrid remote/in-person model.

Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition

  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment on select proposals (both domestic and international), HQ positions, and projects[GK1] . This includes sourcing, creating and posting job descriptions, scheduling and participating in interviews, leading debrief sessions, checking references, determining and extending equitable offers, and facilitating communication with the candidate and SI staff throughout the recruitment process.
  • Serve as integral member of proposal team, developing staffing structures and org charts, sourcing international and country-based personnel, and writing personnel and staffing-related sections of proposals.
  • Work closely with select project teams to conduct sourcing or full-cycle recruitment, for consultant or full-time positions on active projects. Advise project teams on recruitment processes.
  • Lead on recruiting for a variety of HQ-based positions,
  • Advise on talent acquisition and staffing strategies [GK2] to SI and partner teams, ensuring equity, diversity, and high-quality staffing and recruitment best practices are followed.
  • Work with appropriate senior management staff to define both short and long-term staffing needs[GK3]  for HQ positions. Maintain and build tailored talent pipelines. Creatively source passive candidates and build relationships with candidates in the industry.
  • Work with the Director of Talent Acquisition on improvements to the talent acquisition process as needed, including document storage, templates/forms, feedback gathering, etc.

DEI

  • Collaborate on the revision of the Recruitment SOP to ensure DEI recruitment best practices are incorporated appropriately.
  • Conduct regular training on best practices to ensure DEI in recruitment for SI staff.
  • Support Diversity Outreach initiatives to targeted underrepresented and diverse organizations with the goal to increase diversity in SI’s candidate pool.

Collaboration, Outreach, and Training

  • Serve as SI's representative with candidates. Practice excellent candidate care, ensuring transparency and communication throughout the recruitment process.
  • Represent and advocate SI's recruitment system and database across SI, to both integrate it throughout SI and build it as a recruitment resource.
  • Conduct regular talent acquisition training, give guidance, and advise SI staff on processes and procedures.
  • Provide guidance to a Talent Acquisition Intern, supervise other Talent Acquisition team members as necessary.

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, with seven years of total experience, including three years conducting full-cycle recruitment.
  • Excellent ability to use online Applicant Tracking Platforms such as Taleo, on a daily basis, for recruitment tasks.
  • Experience in creative sourcing approaches, especially for diverse/underrepresented candidates. Preference for experience in development of diversity outreach strategies.
  • Very strong professionalism and oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience of working with and managing senior managers on their recruitment requirements.
  • Capable of independent action and sound judgement.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow through on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive work and learning environment.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, OFCCP, and EEO regulations, standard HR practices and procedures strongly preferred.
