The Communications Team exists to showcase our impact and successes in accelerating self-sufficiency and prosperity in the countries we work in; raise Crown Agents’ profile with key audiences in the UK and abroad; and support our global business winning strategy. This includes partnering with and supporting both our country offices and our HQ based technical teams through the provision of hands-on expertise and advice and delivering a full suite of corporate communications products.

The Communications Team also supports the business’ Training and Development Function (TPD) in promoting its services. TPD offers training programmes to individuals and organisations in developing countries to improve outcomes through capacity building.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB

To contribute to the success of Crown Agents’ training and professional development business by delivering effective digital and print marketing strategies and collateral and building CA’s reputation as the ‘go to’ international provider.

Develop and execute the annual TPD marketing strategy, including email outreach, working with the sales team to identify key priorities to communicate to clients.
Undertake campaign work for key TPD projects and assist with strategy development, platform design, data and systems management.
Create, produce and update compelling business marketing collateral. Liaise and negotiate with suppliers as required.
Manage course entries in CRM, including the annual bulk upload of open scheduled courses.
Oversee the ongoing website and CRM integration project.
Contribute to output on social media channels, including alumni WhatsApp groups and the TPD Facebook page.
Write and design case study collateral on completion of all projects.
Generate regular marketing reports including click-through rates, ROI metrics, CRM analysis and others upon request.
Grow the TPD database in required areas through targeted research and data entry campaigns, adhering to GDPR rules.
Develop the annual schedule of courses for the year ahead, working with the product development team to establish a portfolio of courses for the year ahead.
Work with DOS, trainers and the product development team to create or edit all course descriptions for the roster of 171 scheduled courses, as well as contributing to customised course outlines and promotion.
Oversee the maintenance and ordering of TPD merchandise, including budgetary management.

Conceptualise, plan, and execute individual communication strategies and communications support for designated CA programmes/projects and geographic and thematic pursuits in line with BD requirements.

Provide strategic communications support to the Crown Agents’ growth cluster framework by engaging with the teams to map out consistent, long-term strategies.
Support selected, high-profile Crown Agents’ programmes with dedicated comms activities to showcase their impact in line with Crown Agents’ overall BD goals.
Provide designated communications support for Greenshields Cowie.
Work with country offices as required to coordinate local and international comms activities, including obtaining media coverage.

Plan, produce and review/update print and digital content that will allow departments to communicate successes, meet their business aims and generate leads.

Produce a variety of content, such as:

Brochures,
Blogs for the CA website
Content for social media usage
Videos-animated and professionally filmed
Anything else as requested or independently suggested (if approved)

Lead on CA newsletters, comms reporting, the CRM function and the administration of the CA website.

Lead on the creation and production of newsletters to various segmented groups.
Lead the rollout of CRM to the wider business.
Generate monthly reports for the Comms team based on web and social performance.
Increase the use of data and reporting tools for the Comms team, including implementing regular reporting on blog performance.
Along with the Senior Comms Manager, assist in the administration of the CA website, including input on design, tracking costs and providing feedback to developers.

About you

Requirements

Marketing-related qualification desirable
Typically, 3 years’ minimum demonstrable marketing experience, to have included extensive copy-writing.
