Description

The TVET experts will collaborate closely with the EU Delegation and the implementation partners and final beneficiaries of the technical and vocational training and non-formal education component of the programme. He/she will support the EU Delegation with sub-sector analysis.

Normal place of posting of the specific assignment: The implementation of the present services for Category II expert (TVET expert), will be performed from home base.

Mission(s) outside the normal place of posting and duration(s): once context permits frequent travel to Myanmar should be foreseen. Duration: 4 trips (20 days in total)

• Expert category: Cat. II (>6 years of experience)

Qualifications and skills required:
• Advanced university degree (Master degree) in a discipline relevant to the scope of this assignment, such as public administration, education, social sciences, economics, or another relevant subject or, in its absence, equivalent professional experience of 7 years;

• Ability to organise and facilitate multi-stakeholder dialogues, multi-stakeholder and/or consultations, and public meetings, and provide trainings as appropriate;

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

General professional experience:
• At least 6 years of work experience in TVET;

Specific professional experience:
• Experience in communication, facilitation and networking activities;
• Working in multi-cultural, multinational environments;
• Experience in training and capacity development;
• Experience in working in Myanmar;
• Experience in working in fragile and post-conflict states would be an asset;
• Experience in educational planning would be an asset.

Language skills: Excellent working knowledge both in oral and written English;
Knowledge of Myanmar language (Burmese) would be an asset
