Team leader/Economist (Cat. I)

Promoting mutually beneficial economic cooperation between the EU and Algeria, with a focus on green transition, energy security and decent job creation.

Team Leader will be responsible of: carrying out technical and legal studies within his/her field of expertise; identifying experts for studies and events; mobilising DZ stakeholders for meetings and events and coordinating inputs; speaking at meetings and events; providing inputs on Algeria’s business environment to the publication on “doing business in Algeria

• Expert category: Category I (at least 10 years' post graduate experience)

• Qualifications and skills required: Education at least Master's degree in Economy or, in its absence, equivalent professional experience; Strong analytical skills and extensive knowledge of investment and trade issues; strong experience in planning, organization and in leading teams in the public or private sector and/or in public funded projects of similar size, complexity and duration. Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

• General professional experience: At least 10 years' experience in similar assignments in the relevant field of this project.

• Specific professional experience: At least 5 years’ experience with investment promotion, trade facilitation or economic diversification.

Previous experience in Algeria would be an asset

• Language skills: English (C1), French (C1)

• Additional information: Team Leader will be responsible for the overall management of the project.
