We offer the experience, the regional and technical know-how of GIZ in the global market andprovideinternational clients with expertise in terms of economic and result-oriented services.

The objectives of the project are as follows:

• Deepen the engagement and exchange between EU and GCC states and non-state stakeholders in theareas of green transition, de-carbonisation of the energy system, climate change mitigation andadaptation and environment by exploring and creating opportunities for cooperation in several of theabove fields
• Promote and facilitate the uptake of green transition policies and technologies by the GCC countries,focusing on informing these policies with relevant EU best practices.
• Promote and facilitate a conducive business environment for EU green tech companies in the Gulfregion.

Key expert 2 will be responsible for implementing the activities related to communication and eventsmanagement and the deployment of an active Climate Diplomacy Strategy.

Professional Experience:
Qualifications and skills
1. Master's degree or equivalent diploma in Communication or similar fields or in its absence, a Bachelor'sdegree or equivalent diploma in the fields detailed above followed by at least 3 years of post-graduateprofessional experience on top of the general professional experience required below and

2. Excellent analytical and computer literacy skills and
3. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, level C2 and
4. Functional level Modern Standard Arabic, level B2

General professional experience
Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate professional experience in the field of communication, media relationsand/ or public relations in an international context.

Specific professional experience
1. Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in the development and implementation of communicationstrategies and
2. Minimum of 3 year of post-graduate professional experience in social media, web design, editing,publication, dissemination and/ or the design of webpages (content) and
3. Minimum of 3 year of post-graduate professional experience in event organisation and management ofinternational events and
4. At least 1 professional experience in communications aspects of an EU Climate Diplomacy project or aproject of communicating aspects of green transition or climate change mitigation or de-carbonisation orenergy efficiency.

The intended start date is May 2023 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 36 months.
