Remote International Poultry Expert/Team Leader

e.Gen Consultants Ltd. is looking for an International Poultry Expert for a project on poultry sector assessment in Afghanistan. The work will be remote/home-based.

Job Description:

The Team Leader will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of the project, ensuring that all activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Team Leader will work closely with project partners, stakeholders, and the IFC to ensure that the project objectives are met.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a detailed work plan and oversee the implementation of the project activities.
• Ensure the quality of the research, data analysis, and report writing, in accordance with IFC guidelines and standards.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to the project team.
• Support in preparing data collection tools in line with the poultry sector of Afghanistan.
• Build and maintain relationships with project partners, stakeholders, and the IFC.
• Manage project risks and ensure compliance with project policies and procedures.
• Lead the dissemination of the project findings to key stakeholders, including the private sector and government officials.
• Represent the project in meetings and events with stakeholders and the IFC.
• Ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Requirements:

• At least a master's degree in economics, business administration, or related fields.
• At least 10 years of experience in managing and delivering complex research projects in the poultry sector.
• Experience working with the private sector and government officials in Afghanistan or a similar context.
• Proven experience in research methodologies, including data analysis and report writing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and project risks effectively.
• Fluency in English and Dari or Pashto.
