With a global objective of supporting the implementation of NDICI - Global Europe’s multiple requirements on conflict sensitivity, the overall objective of the Conflict Sensitivity Assessments will be to: a) better understand, b) address, c) and take action on the interactions between the proposed or ongoing programmes and the context affected by fragility, conflict, conflict risks or violence, with a view to prevent and mitigate the risks of unintended negative impacts and doing harm, and to harness opportunities for conflict prevention and peace.

The indicative start date is 01/10/2023 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 396 Day(s) from this date (indicative end date: 31/10/2024).

Qualifications required:
The minimum requirements covered by the team of experts as a whole are detailed below:

• Master's degree (or equivalent diploma) in social sciences, e.g., political science, economics, international relations, peace and conflict studies, development studies, or equivalent experience. Two years of additional experience in development cooperation, humanitarian action or peacebuilding can be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree.
• Good knowledge in the field of development cooperation, humanitarian action and peacebuilding/conflict prevention is required.
• Knowledge of EU relevant policies and engagement in fragile and conflict/crisis-affected countries. Field experience at global level will be considered as an asset. • Strong analytical and research skills are required.
• Facilitation skills are required.
• Previous experience in project management and evaluation are considered as strong asset.
• The team of experts is required to have a proven and complementary knowledge of other key cross-cutting issues such as gender, human-rights based approaches and climate and environment, especially in relation to contexts affected by conflict and/or fragility. All team members will have command of English at level C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CERF) – both spoken and written. The team must include at least two experts with excellent written and oral communication respectively in Spanish (C1) language and French (C1).

Professional experience required:

- For Cat. II experts, at least 6 years' experience in the sector(s) related to the lot is required.

- In addition to the 6 years of general professional experience, at least 3 years of experience in the field of carrying out conflict sensitivity training, or supporting conflict sensitivity facilities, related technical assistance, supporting conflict analyses and so on.
