We are currently looking for a Lead Global Talent Attraction  
Full-time, based in The Hague, Netherlands 

The People function within SNV is embarking on a journey based on the new people strategy (March 2023) in line with the organisational 2030 strategy. To become fit for purpose, the Global People Team is making some changes in its structure to further ways of working and to implement the new People strategy. The Global team focusses on five big themes which are Talent Attraction, develop leaders and invest in culture; Manage and develop SNV talents and skills; Reward, and recognize employees and Security, safety & inclusion and well-being of team members. The team is led by the Global Head of People and consists of in total 14 global HR professionals and 20 country HR advisors.

Job Description


Your role
As the Lead Global Talent Attraction, you hold a crucial position in spearheading the implementation of SNV's talent attraction process across multiple regions, including South-East Africa, West Africa, Asia, and The Netherlands. As an experienced lead, you will serve as a driving force in helping your local and global HR peers and stakeholders adopt our talent attraction approach and further build our employer brand. Your ultimate mission will be to elevate the calibre of our talent attraction abilities within SNV, ensuring that we consistently attract, select, and retain talent from diverse backgrounds across different (22) countries. 

In addition to leading by example for our global job openings, where you will oversee end-to-end recruitment processes (from crafting compelling job adverts to sourcing, screening, interviewing, assessing, and hiring), your challenge will be crafting and implementing a comprehensive workforce strategy that aligns with our organization's overarching goals and values. This undertaking will be done by collaborating closely with our Talent attraction team (2), which you lead, and the other People Team members. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Further finetuning and implementing SNV's talent attraction strategy, in line with our People, Culture, Talent strategy across regions, ensuring efficiency, fairness, and compliance with relevant regulations.  
  • Lead cross functional projects, such as employer branding initiatives, talent attraction toolkits, and recruitment analytics. 
  • Develop and deliver recruitment capability programs to enhance recruitment skills within SNV. 
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. 
  • Collaborate with SNV country HR, business development unit and hiring managers to understand their talent needs and develop targeted recruitment plans accordingly. 
  • Forge partnerships with relevant external organizations, networks, and institutions to build and expand SNV's talent pool and enhance our employer brand. 
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement total workforce strategies that ensure SNV has the right talent in the right locations to achieve our organizational goals. 
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in talent attraction and recruitment. 

Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced Lead Global Talent Attraction to join our team who also has experience implementing change at scale. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about recruitment, has a strong understanding of building employer brands and talent attraction pipelines and has the capacity to bring this across to others.  

To be considered for this role, you must have (proficiency level equivalent to) a bachelor degree and 7 years of experience in a senior Talent Acquisition position within an international organisation. Experience in a leadership/HR project manager role, is required. 

In addition to your experience, we are looking for someone with:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Project Management experience such as creating plans, structuring work, and implementing processes. 
  • Experience in working with stakeholders and a network in talent attraction or our field of expertise with understanding of cultural dynamics of especially Asia and/or Africa  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, with knowledge of French spoken and written being an advantage. 
  • You are considered a team player, you have excellent interviewing skills and you have a strong eye for talent. 
  • You value teamwork and you are able to drive both the bigger picture and the details behind. 
  • You have experience with digital tools and have understanding on how to deliver an online employer brand. 
  • You like to transfer your experience to others and thus mentor colleagues in building theirs. 
  • Experience in working within international context and engaging with different cultures and people
