The FIDH (International Federation for Human Rights) is an international human rights NGO. Since 1922, we have been committed to defending all civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights as defined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

We are a federation of 188 national human rights associations active in 116 countries. For us, transforming societies is first and foremost the responsibility of local players. Our activities aim to strengthen their capacity for action and their influence.

The International Secretariat of the FIDH is an organisation on a human scale, made up of a committed international team (50 employees in France and 20 employees in several offices abroad (Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Thailand, Colombia and the African continent). Our Paris office is located in a lively, central district of Paris (near Bastille and Gare de Lyon).

We are recruiting : Multi-country Project Coordinator « The fight against grand corruption: an essential lever for protecting human rights worldwide » - PERMANENT FULL TIME

The Project Coordinator (PC) is responsible for coordinating the activities and monitoring-evaluation of this multi-country project (2024-2026) under an agreement between the FIDH and the Agence Française de Développement (AFD). The project will be implemented through a Consortium between FIDH, Transparency Internationale and Transparency Internationale France, with 23 local partners in 11 countries. He or she will report to the FIDH Project Manager and Focal Point for Corruption and Human Rights.

Main tasks/responsibilities:

1. Managing the monitoring and evaluation of project activities (50% of time)
◦ Facilitate coordination to ensure that activities are carried out in a coherent and relevant manner between Consortium members
◦ Monitor the overall progress of the project, paying particular attention to the changes produced
◦ Coordinate the implementation of a harmonised operational monitoring system (logical framework, indicator monitoring dashboard, procedures, contractual deadlines, etc.).
◦ Ensure consolidated and regular monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of the activities implemented (meetings with the Consortium member teams concerned, updating of programming, monitoring and evaluation tables and documents);
▪ Coordinates the programming of activities with the members of the Consortium and draws up an annual action plan, which is implemented and monitored on a monthly basis.
▪ Receives reports every 6 months from the other members of the Consortium on progress in implementing the activities for which they are responsible.
▪ feeds this information into the indicator monitoring table,
◦ Monitor the project budget (and co-financing) in conjunction with the FIDH management control department Ensure consistency between financial and narrative reporting ;
◦ Consolidate and co-write the narrative reports (by tranche and final report) with the financial partner and in liaison with the members of the Consortium and the programme’s financial manager
◦ To promote the integration of a gender approach into the activities carried out as part of the Project
◦ Preparing and coordinating communication with AFD, in particular the organisation of annual steering committees with AFD and MEAE (drafting minutes and statements of decisions).
◦ Ensuring internal and external communication for the project (Newsletter).
◦ To support the FIDH management control department in the verification of expenditure and the final external audit (archiving).
◦ To support discussions on the follow-up to this project, in particular phase 2, and to help set it up.
◦ Ensure compliance with FIDH’s internal procedures (procurement procedures, etc.) and those of financial partners, in particular AFD (ANO, retrocessions, screening, etc.).

2. Coordinating and contributing to the implementation of activities led or co-lead by the FIDH (50% of time)
◦ Setting up and monitoring the working group on the documentation of corruption and its link with human rights.
◦ Setting up and monitoring exchange forums between the FIDH network and the TI network.
◦ Joint support with the FIDH geographical offices and TI-S for activities (notes, reports) in the 11 countries, including 3 fact-finding missions
◦ Support for advocacy activities in conjunction with TI-S and TI-F

YOUR PROFILE
◦ Master’s degree required in human rights, international relations, political science or law
◦ Excellent writing skills in French and English. Excellent level of Spanish (ideally trilingual).
◦ 5 years’ professional experience, particularly in project or human rights coordination or management
◦ Knowledge of donor rules and procedures such as AFD and EU...
◦ Ability to analyse, summarise and write
◦ Proficiency in office automation tools (Pack Office)
◦ Rigour, organisation, initiative, autonomy, versatility, diplomacy, good interpersonal skills
◦ Ability to work as part of a team and across disciplines
◦ Knowledge of the FIDH (mandate, activities, operations), monitoring and evaluation tools and anti-corruption work would be an asset.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Permanent contract based in Paris 11e
◦ Salary: €37,000 gross per annum over 13 months, depending on experience
◦ Teleworking possible with a minimum of 4 face-to-face days per month.
◦ 25 days’ paid holiday and 24 days’ leave per year.
◦ Supplementary health insurance: employer contribution of €85 per month.
◦ Restaurant vouchers with a face value of €9 and 60% paid by the FIDH.
◦ Sustainable mobility package or 50% reimbursement of the cost of public transport season tickets.
