Job Title: Call for Experts
Duration/Level of Effort: Full Time/Short Term & Long Term
Position Location: Nepal
BACKGROUND
In advance of several upcoming FCDO-funded projects in Nepal, we are seeking candidates for numerous long-term and short-term positions. Expected to start in late 2024, the projects will provide technical assistance and strengthen governance at the federal, provincial, and local levels. With numerous proposals under development, we are searching for skilled and dedicated experts across six priority thematic areas:
- Governance and Public Financial Management
- Climate Change
- Disaster Risk Reduction
- Trade, economic development and infrastructure
- Social Services
- Inclusive Development
INTRODUCTION

AIM OF THIS INVITATION TO TENDER
We are issuing this call to build a roster of experts ahead of the release of our target opportunities. We are looking for experts who can provide specialist knowledge and expertise relating to each of the following sub-themes:
- Sub-theme 1– Governance, including public financial management and social protection
- Sub-theme 2– Climate change mitigation & adaptation
- Sub-theme 3– Disaster risk reduction, including disaster risk management
- Sub-theme 4– Trade, economic development and infrastructure
- Sub-theme 5– Social service delivery, including health, WASH, and education
- Sub-theme 6 –Inclusive development, including GEDSI
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in relevant technical area; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of progressively responsible work experience, within the identified themes
- Experience working collaboratively with the Government of Nepal at various levels
- Experience with bilateral donor-funded projects preferred
- Strong writing and interpersonal skills;
- Familiarity with South Asia is preferred; Experience in Nepal highly desired
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Fluency in English
