Short project description:
The required technical assistance for the planning and implementation of an aquaponics VET facility at CFPA Jemmal includes:
training of trainers at the consultant’s facilities, training of trainers and technical staff at the training centre in Tunisia, curricula development for a Technician Level (2 years), listing and specifying required equipment, and assistance during the commissioning of the equipped aquaponics facility at CFPA Jemmal.
This assistance will be planned in close cooperation between the successful applicant and AVFA (Agence Vulgarisation et Formation Agricole; including the two training centres and their staff) to establish the aquaponics training facility and implement efficient training with an emphasis on practical skills as required by the labour market.

Scope of work:
The scope of work will cover the curriculum development (high technician education level), the equipment specification, the training of trainers and commissioning of the equipped and completed aquaponics training system.
This assistance must be carefully planned throughout all the project implementation stages from the design step to the first training of trainees.

Description of the five positions:

Project Manager (m/f/d): the project manager must have some years of experience in project management, preferably handling similar projects, and must have international experience with the management of projects in Africa; English AND French language skills are mandatory.

Aquaponics Expert (m/f/d): the aquaponics expert must have some years of general experience in the aquaponics sector, including specific experience in aquaponics systems design and planning, aquaponics systems commissioning experience and international experience with projects in Africa; English AND French language skills are mandatory.

Equipment Expert(m/f/d): the aquaponics expert must have some years of general experience in the aquaponics sector, including specific experience in aquaponics equipment specifications, equipment commissioning experience and international experience with projects in Africa; English AND French language skills are mandatory.

Curricula Development Expert (m/f/d): the curricula development expert must some years of general experience in the aquaponics sector, including specific experience in aquaponics curricula development and international experience with projects in Africa; English AND French language skills are mandatory.

Training Expert(m/f/d): the training expert must have some years of general experience in the aquaponics sector, including specific experience in aquaponics-related training and international experience with projects in Africa; English AND French language skills are mandatory.
