Description
Swisscontact is looking for a Project Manager / Team Leader for an upcoming international donor funded Swiss Private Sector Engagement for Vocational Education and Training in Hospitality Management Project in Tbilisi, Georgia. The project will start 1 July 2024 and has a duration of 4 years and a volume around 4M CHF.
Tasks
- Manage team of around 6-8 people and liaise with local and international partners.
- Execute budget as planned, on time.
- Achieve project results according to project document and annual plans.
- Apply MSD methodology, DCED compliant results monitoring, facilitative approach.
- Financial controls, audit coordination
- Project monitoring and reporting to donor.
- Staff development, coaching, mentoring, HR planning
- Coordination with other projects in the region, within Swisscontact; content and knowledge sharing.
- Representation of Swisscontact towards donors, partners, and other stakeholders, alongside the Country Director Georgia
- Communication with donors, partners, internally according to C4D principles
Requirements
- Demonstrated competences in project cycle management (PCM) with multiyear experience in similar large pro-jects/programs with similar mandates.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing projects using the Market Systems Development (MSD), Vocational Skills Development (VSD), and Private Sector Engagement (PSE) approaches.
- Relevant professional experience in Georgia and/or middle income and transition countries.
- Proven skills and demonstrated competences and experience in communication, negotiation and liaison in multi-stakeholder environment.
- Leadership qualities.
- Entrepreneurial experiences and mindset.
- Experience as a head of project in similar development initiatives.
- Knowledge of the Swiss hospitality skills sector is an asset.
- Excellent command of English. Knowledge of Georgian language is an asset.
