Senior Civil Engineer with WASH experience - f/m/d
An international monitoring consulting firm based in Australia intends to strengthen its team with a versatile civil engineer with practical project experience in WASH and small to medium-scale Infrastructure projects to monitor projects, funded by the PATRIP Foundation and implemented by INGOs, in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
The candidate must hold a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with at least 10 years of experience in planning, monitoring and site supervision of small to medium-scale seismic resistant & energy efficient Infrastructures & WASH projects according to applicable local and international standards. A Bachelor's degree with an additional 2 years of relevant experience is also accepted. The candidate must be fluent in English, Uzbek and Russian (Tajik & Kyrgyz are seen as an asset) and have very good report writing skills to deliver high-quality field visit and progress reports.
The engineer is expected to have a good understanding of rules and regulations in the infrastructure sector in Uzbekistan. Knowledge of regional rules and regulations in the infrastructure sector of Tajikistan and/or Kyrgyzstan and Project Management experience will be considered an added advantage. As the engineer will also be involved in the review of tender documents and procurement processes in general, being familiar with international and national and regional procurement rules and regulations is seen as an asset.
The position (05/2024 – 12/2025) is Tashkent-based, requiring travel within Uzbekistan and travel to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
