Site Engineer - Interim Support - European Union Agency for Asylum

MGR Human Resources Ltd, member of MAP S.Platis Group, is a leading, broad HR Consulting, Training, Recruitment and Temporary Placements Agency. We are currently seeking to recruit a Site Engineer - interim support for the European Union Agency for Asylum to be based in Malta.

The position

The successful candidate will work on a secondment basis for the awarded contract for the Provision of Interim Services to the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA). EUAA is an EU Regulatory Agency headquartered in Malta whose mandate is to strengthen EU Member States’ practical cooperation on asylum, to support Member States whose asylum systems are under particular pressure and to enhance the implementation of the Common European Asylum System.

Job Description (responsibilities)

Responsibilities in the field of structural, civil, and mechanical engineering as assigned by the resident engineer and/or line manager:

1. Align all contractor activity according to project planning,
2. Control and quality check activities of civil contractors on-site,
3. Provide sound technical data analysis and recommendations,
4. Prepare requests for services and/or projects briefs,
5. Verify administrative documents handed in by contractors,
6. Other duties as assigned by line manager; Occasional travel abroad may be required.

Minimum qualification:

Completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma.

1) University degree in Engineering or similar, preferably in one of the following fields: structural civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering;

2) Very good knowledge of spoken and written English (at least C1); any other European language on B2 level, such as: Spanish, Italian, Greek, Maltese, Serbian is highly appreciated.

3) No legal obligations to any civil contractor in Malta, including labor, contract or (co-) ownership or self-employed;

4) Ability to observe high confidentiality.

Minimum experience:

At least 5 years’ experience in the delivery of technical services related to building management within the public or private sector; Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.

Remuneration

The position falls in hierarchical Category IV and the associated salary is €44,543.88 gross annually in twelve monthly installments.
