Description
- E&S Safeguards
- Masters, DEA / DESS or any other equivalent university degree in environmental studies, natural resource management, environmental policy, or a related discipline.
- At least eight (8) years of proven professional experience in environmental and social assessment and implementation
- Good knowledge and solid experience in developing and implementing environmental and social assessments (ESA) instruments and tools, including strategic environmental and social assessments (SESA), environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA), environmental and social audit (E&S Audit), resettlement action plan (RAP), etc.
- Have knowledge and a proven practice of environmental and social safeguard policies of Multilateral Development Banks and mainly of the African Development Bank’s ISS; - Solid knowledge of environmental and social management procedures and policies of Libya;
- Solid experience and practices of stakeholder’s engagement and public consultation on complex E&S documents/reports.
- Ability to work in English and Arabic.
