Short terme expert on flexible digesters for biogas production in rural areas - SRI LANKA

Project: ECODAIRY 2024-2026. Support for the productive and ecological transition of livestock models and value chains.

Completion: 1st half of 2025

Duration: 21 days in 3 missions

Mission : installation of two flexible digesters for training and demonstration purposes in rural areas

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Identification of two sites in 2 family dairy farms
  • Preparation of plans, installation notice and operating & maintenance guide
  • Installation of two flexi-digesters
  • Orientation of livestock technicians and farmers on methanization and on domestic biogas production with flexi digesters
  • On-the job training

 Qualifications and experience required:

  • Proven practical experience of setting up, managing and using of flexible digesters for rural biogas production.
  • Experience in international consultancy, preferably in South Asia and/or tropical regions
  • Working and writing language: English
