Team Leader

The overasll objective of the proposed assignment (financed by the WB) is to screen and shortlist sites for development of utility-scale solar power plants with battery storage.

The specific tasks include: (1) survey, screening, and prioritizing of sites for solar PV development; (2) grid analysis for variable renewable energy integration; (3) sizinsites for solar PV + storage.

The analysis will take the resource assessment from 2022 as the foundation and, through the above tasks, provide enog ugh information at selected sites to support subsequent development of feasibility studies.

Position: Team Leader, with 15+ years of experience in planning solar PV projects, including experience in dispatch diagnosis and planning in complex and weak grids, as well as wide experience in subSaharan Africa. Experience in countries in Eastern Africa (including Rwanda) will be highly valued.
