About
LHS Economistas Associados began its activities in the 1990s, with the dedication of Lucia Helena Salgado to research, teaching and militancy in defense of competition. She organized herself as a provider of economic advisory services, production of opinions, preparation of economic studies, professional training and teaching.
It grew with the incorporation of complementary talents, with specializations in industrial organization, regulation and economic law, finance, econometrics and applied microeconomics, notably in the areas of defense of competition, analysis of regulatory impact and design of programs of improvement and simplification of regulation, compliance programs, commercial defense, financial analysis of assets and interface between intellectual property and competition.
In 2008, when she took over the Coordination of Studies for Regulation and Markets at Ipea, Lucia Helena moved away from the activities of referee in her areas of expertise. In 2016 he took up his full duties at the helm of the company, having as main collaborator Michelle Holperin, member of the EBAPE / FGV doctoral program and visiting student at MIT.
Over time, LHS Economistas Associados has been incorporating new members, such as Rafael Pinho Senra de Morais and Pedro Hemsley, both PhD in Economics by the Toulouse School of Economics and assistant professors of the Faculty of Economic Sciences of UERJ, always with the intention of offering the its clients the state of the art in providing advisory services and economic advice.
