About
Krajská zdravotní was established on September 1, 2007 by transforming five hospitals into one entity. The Assembly of the Ústí Region decided to create this umbrella company. Before the transformation, five hospitals, which fell under the competence of the Ústí Region as independent entities, became from contributory organizations spin-off plants of Krajská zdravotní, a.s. Specifically, they are Děčín Hospital, Masaryk Hospital in Ústí nad Labem, Teplice Hospital, Most Hospital, and Chomutov Hospital. From 1 April 2021, the Litoměřice Hospital and from 1 July 2021 also the hospital in Rumburk as a detached workplace of Masaryk Hospital in Ústí nad Labem. With regard to the geographical distribution in the region, Krajské zdratnosti, as hospitals form the backbone of medical facilities for the entire Ústí Region.
With the transformation of hospitals, it was decided to significantly change the way of organization and security of health care provision in the region. Thus, a unique medical facility was created, through which the citizens of the Ústí Region are provided with an accessible and at the same time maximally effective and economical network, providing health care whose quality corresponds to the most modern trends in medicine.
