Asamblea de Cooperación Por la Paz (Assembly of Cooperation for Peace ACPP)

Assembly of Cooperation for Peace (ACPP) is an instrument, a meeting point for people who aspire to live in a world that builds its pillars in dignity, justice and equality and they put themselves to collectively contribute their granite sand. The rules of the game are not neutral and the work of ACPP is framed in the desire to change them from everyday practice. ACPP is not neutral either, its work is aimed at achieving a more egalitarian society in which all people have the possibility of living a dignified life. International cooperation, action in schools, social intervention in our neighborhoods and cities and citizen awareness are fundamental points of support in this advocacy work. ACPP is defined as an independent, progressive and secular organization.

WHAT WE WANT
The work of ACPP points in a double direction, which is really only one. On the one hand, in impoverished countries it promotes an autonomous and democratic development, a development in which respect for the environment is non-negotiable, a development in which women and men must be equally protagonists and beneficiaries. For this, it considers essential the involvement with the social organizations of the South. With them, they share aspirations and they are the protagonists of the development of the people who inhabit their territories. On the other hand, in Europe, it fosters critical capacity with the intention of generating a critical mass among citizens who commit themselves to building a society that has global solidarity as a reference for the construction of a more just world.

HOW WE WORK
In any process of transformation, the people involved must assume the leading role. This is what ACPP understands and in that sense it works to increase that transformative potential that leads these people to become agents of social change to take charge of their own future.

FINANCES
ACPP is financed with contributions from its members and collaborators. We also demand a greater quality and quantity of public resources destined to fight poverty and inequality and we concur to calls for aid in which only the best development cooperation projects are financed. We strive to be an organization every day better, more transparent and committed to accountability to society. We publish our complete accounts, and we submit to audits, whose results can be consulted on our website.
