About
Jakarta, Indonesia’s capital, is one of the most densely populated and fastest growing cities in the world. Since the 1970s Arup’s experience across a range of markets has helped to reduce the impacts of mass urbanisation and create new infrastructure to cater for the rapidly growing population - from transport, water, energy, residential, aviation, schools, hospitals to commercial property.
Our growing Jakarta office and Arup’s global network has collaborated on some of the city’s leading projects, setting new standards for infrastructure and buildings in the region. We work across disciplines, from achieving Indonesia’s first LEED building on Pacific Century Place Tower, delivering a structurally resilient design for Menara Astra, one of Jakarta’s tallest buildings in the CBD, to providing technical advice on the Jakarta International Velodrome. We are also working with rail owners and operators to identify operational improvements and investment opportunities for the rail network in Greater Jakarta, and designing a more connected and walkable community with MRT Jakarta’s pedestrian masterplan.
