Senegalese Des Eaux has been operating and managing the public drinking water service in urban areas since 1996. It was commissioned by the State of Senegal following the restructuring of the hydraulic sub-sector. urban on the basis of an Affermage contract. The company's performance over these two decades (1996-2016) has greatly contributed to our country's achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in the field of drinking water services along with other players in the urban water supply sector. Thus, the SDE participates alongside the authorities in the constant improvement of the quality of life of the populations. This earned it recognition from the Senegalese government, which entrusted it with the Emergency and Safe Drinking Water Supply Program in Dakar for the construction of 21 new boreholes and an additional supply of 60,000 m3/day in 2015. .
