The consulting company initiated activities 14 years ago in Costa Rica. The company was initially created with the objective of providing sustainable solutions to complex infrastructure projects by taking advantage of the experience of several senior expert consultants in the areas of biodiversity assessments and environmental evaluation. More than five years ago the firm moved to Panama and changed its business structure and added new services. The company operates as Best Environmental Practice – BEP Advisors from Panama and the US as required.

BEP Advisors aims to deliver the latest tools and consulting services for enabling Clients to enhance the incorporation of IFC Performance Standards and Equator Principles into sustainable development projects. BEP Advisors also seeks to build institutional capacity and training by providing clients and project teams with a solid foundation for a more effective project management. Over the years we have worked on a variety of projects such as environmental and biodiversity assessments, protected areas, hydroelectric, geothermal, eolic energy, oil and gas, transmission lines, roads, ports, sustainable agribusiness among others.
