FRES Uganda is a company providing solar energy as a service to rural areas in Uganda. We serve over 2000 small businesses and 4000 homesteads. We also provide energy for over 500 schools, 50 health centers, and 100 worship centers. Our customers benefit from access to reliable energy (96% uptime), low upfront costs (around $100 one-off), hassle-free maintenance, repairs & replacements (all costs covered in the monthly service fee), scalable solutions (customers can upgrade & downgrade any time) and all our systems are insured against theft and electric shock during thunderstorms. We are currently upgrading our service to provide larger systems for productive use and income generation in most rural communities and small towns. We are seeking funding partners to be able to scale our operation (since 2010) to more areas across the country to benefit communities and SME's.
