About
The agency created in 1990 in Paris by Philippe Ameller and Jacques Dubois, has developed over the years specific skills in a few major areas, without however moving towards a specialization. It first developed its activity in teaching, safety and health equipment and then in the architecture of collective housing and cultural facilities in France and abroad.
Together they co-sign numerous public and private commissions; among others the Commissariat of Provins, the Boucicaut housing in Paris (first eco-certified ZAC in France), the Pierre Perret school group in Serris and the Halles de Pau. An exhibition is dedicated to them in 2016 at the Galerie d’architecture in Paris.
Whether new construction, renovations, extensions, heavy restructuring, interventions in classified sites, the practice of the Ameller Dubois agency is based on the balance between rigor and audacity. Rigor in the follow-up of the projects registered in their time. Audacity in dealing with timeless architectural issues.
The agency now has 6 partners, sixty collaborators and a hundred projects to its credit.
