We are deeply rooted in Rostock. With around 35,000 of its own apartments and more than 620 employees, the Wohnfühlgesellschaft is one of the largest and most efficient housing companies in northern Germany. Almost every third Rostocker lives in a WIRO apartment. As the largest landlord and municipal company, we bear a great deal of responsibility: to maintain and increase the value of the property in the long term through good management and smart investments. Our claim: the best service, modern living space at fair rents and a strong customer focus.

The positive business development of WIRO in recent years offers scope for further growth. We have increased our own construction activity, as well as the development of land for private builders. Our new building offensive – 1,500 new WIRO rental apartments for Rostock by 2026 – is making an important contribution to urban development.

WIRO is pursuing the ambitious goal of a rapid, effective and sustainable reduction in CO2 emissions. We also keep a close eye on the economic soundness of the measures and social compatibility.

Just as our rental apartments are located in all parts of the Hanseatic and university city, we support more than 90 projects, initiatives and associations throughout the city that are committed to education, sport, art and culture as well as social issues.
