Hospital Universitario Puerta del Mar

We disseminate useful and reliable information for citizens related to healthcare, teaching and research activities, which give this healthcare complex a prominent place within the network of hospital care centers of the Public Health System of Andalusia. We seek to provide universal, equitable healthcare with equal access to our entire population. The University Hospital Complex is made up of 5 centers and the healthcare activity is organized in 35 Clinical Management Units. In the complex as a whole, around 3,600 professionals work daily to improve the health of the population. 1. Inaugurated in 1977, the Puerta del Mar is the continuation hospital of the one built in 1954 (Fernando Zamacola Residence). Located at Avda. Ana de Viya 21. 2. The San Carlos Hospital became dependent on the Andalusian Health Service in 2014. It is located in San Fernando, Military Town of San Carlos. 3. The Peripheral Specialty Center of Cádiz is a health center that carries out outpatient care activities (outpatient consultations and diagnostic procedures). Located at Plaza Vargas Ponce s/n. 4. The Cádiz Adult Mental Health Center develops the care activity of Psychiatry and Psychology (UGC Mental Health). Location on Escalzo street. 5. The Laundry building, located next to the Free Trade Zone, carries out the washing and ironing process for textile products for hospital use.
