Description:

USAID/El Salvador hereby provides notice of its intention to modify Contract Number AID-519-C-17-00001 with Palladium International, LLC for the the Economic Competitiveness Activity in order to extend the period of performance by sixteen months and increase the Total Estimated Cost by $3,840,000.

Under this proposed modification, the Contractor will provide support under a limited component of the contract aimed at fostering economic growth and job creation. Specifically, this extension will continue to support the H-2 visa program component of the Economic Competitiveness Activity, while phasing out other elements of the contract.

The project supports USAID’s Country Development Strategy (CDCS) goal of curbing irregular migration. The H-2 visa program is designed to increase legal pathways to employment and raise the income potential of likely irregular migrants by placing them in temporary jobs with U.S. firms. Through this proposed extension, Palladium International, LLC will provide continued support to the Government of El Salvador and the interagency (State, DHS, DOL) to grow H-2 deployed labor and meet U.S. foreign policy goals.
