Niger - Economic Resilience Support Programme (PARRE), Phase 1
The Economic Resilience Support Programme (PARRE) is a programmatic operation in two phases (I and II), covering the 2017-2019 fiscal years. Its main goal is to contribute to the acceleration of economic growth, with a particular focus on strengthening the country's economic resilience. This objective is all the more relevant since the PARRE builds on the achievements of Bank-funded operations in Niger over the past few years, notably the Domestic Resource Mobilization and Economic and Financial Governance Improvement Project (PAMOGEF). Consolidation of the results achieved through previous operations has enabled Niger to pursue and deepen structural reforms, thus equipping itself with an institutional framework capable of supporting strategic planning that promotes diversification of the productive base of its economy.
