Description

The  Ministry of Labor and Social Policies  has published Notice 2/2023  for the financing of initiatives and projects of national importance established by the Third Sector Code (art. 72 Legislative Decree 117/2017). For this year,  the 2023 Policy Act  has allocated 22,666,890 euros to support the activities of general interest of Third Sector entities.

The initiatives and projects must be promoted, also through the associative networks registered in the appropriate section of the  single national register of the Third Sector (Runts), by  voluntary organisations,  social promotion associations  and  Third Sector foundations, registered in the Runts, individually or in partnership with each other. In this transition phase, entities involved in the transmigration process and those registered in the non-profit register at the Revenue Agency can also access.

The initiatives and projects must include the carrying out - understood as effective activation - of activities of general interest  in at least 10 Regions  (in this context the autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano are considered equivalent to the Regions). The minimum duration of the project proposals must not be less than 12 months, while the maximum duration cannot exceed 18 months.

The overall ministerial financing of each initiative or project  cannot be less than 250,000 euros  nor exceed the amount of 600,000 euros  and  cannot exceed 80% of the total cost  of the approved initiative or project, in the event that it is presented and carried out by social promotion associations or voluntary organizations even in partnership with each other, and  50% of the total cost  of the approved proposal, if presented and implemented by  third sector foundations.

The remaining co-financing quota of  at least 20% in the case of social promotion associations and voluntary organizations  and  at least 50% in the case of Third Sector foundations,  will be borne by the proposing subjects , who will also be able to make use of any financial resources made available by third parties.

The application can be completed from 12.00 on 16 October 2023 until 8.00 on 6 November 2023.
