Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Facility - Unit Contributions

Objectives: The objective of the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Facility (AFIF) grant is to support the deployment of Alternative Fuel supply infrastructure, with the goal of contributing to decarbonizing transport along the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). This grant focuses on facilitating the roll-out of electricity recharging infrastructure for electric vehicles, installation of hydrogen refuelling stations, and other innovative fueling facilities. Expected outcomes include increased public accessibility to recharging and refuelling stations, fostering a sustainable and smart mobility system across the European Union. The project scope includes infrastructure projects and technology upgrades contributing to the EU climate neutrality objectives outlined in the Fit for 55 initiative, focusing also on projects in maritime, inland waterway, and aviation sectors.
