Statement of Interest (SOI) for the Annual Program Statement FY2025 SOI

Objectives: U.S. Embassy Tokyo, through its Public Affairs Section, seeks proposals to enhance U.S.-Japan ties via programs that underscore shared values and foster bilateral cooperation. Priority areas include fortifying a Free and Open Indo-Pacific, combating transnational issues such as cyber threats, bolstering democratic processes in the Indo-Pacific, advancing STEM engagement and U.S.-Japan academic partnerships, promoting entrepreneurship and innovation with an emphasis on cultural exchange, and celebrating American achievements in science, technology, and culture. Initiatives should link to U.S. culture or involve U.S. experts to enhance understanding of U.S. policies and perspectives. Projects should aim for audiences like media, NGOs, government officials, educational leaders, and future influencers in both countries.
