U.S. Embassy Kuwait PAS Annual Program Statement

Objectives: The U.S. Embassy Kuwait Public Affairs Section (PAS) launches its Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program aimed at strengthening educational and cultural ties between the U.S. and Kuwait. This initiative focuses on cultural and exchange programming to promote shared values and bilateral cooperation, requiring an American cultural element or expert involvement to enhance mutual understanding of U.S. policies. The anticipated programs include academic and professional exchanges, cultural workshops, artistic joint exhibitions, and conservation efforts, with the aim to foster people-to-people connections, climate resilience, economic prosperity, and regional security between the two nations. Special emphasis is placed on projects that foster diversity, equity, and inclusion, include U.S. experts and institutions, and address priority areas such as enhancing U.S.-Kuwait partnerships, cybersecurity, empowering women, promoting economic cooperation, and engaging individuals with disabilities. Eligible entities are encouraged to propose projects with budgets ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 with a duration of up to 12 months, under the FY25 Public Diplomacy Funding plan.
