Space Critical EEE Components for EU non-dependence – RISC-V Microprocessor on 7nm

Objectives: The grant seeks to fortify the European Union's strategic autonomy by limiting non-EU dependencies in the space sector, specifically concerning critical space Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) components and technologies. It focuses on establishing resilient supply chains that are either within the EU or are trustworthy and not susceptible to non-EU export restrictions. By enhancing the EU's capabilities to operate independently in space while also pursuing technological advancements for EU space missions, the grant aims to make EU products globally competitive, open new opportunities for manufacturers, and reduce reliance on export-controlled technologies from outside the EU.
