Objectives: The ERC Advanced Grants aim to support established research leaders already at the apex of academic leadership. This grant is intended for Principal Investigators to pursue cutting-edge research that demonstrates groundbreaking innovation, ambition, and viability. Grants can reach up to EUR 2,500,000 for a 5-year period, with opportunities for additional funding up to EUR 2,000,000 to cover specific costs related to startup expenses for those relocating to the EU, essential equipment, access to significant facilities, and substantial experimental and fieldwork. The grant package is offered as a lump sum, ensuring comprehensive financial support across the project's duration, focusing on advancing scientific excellence.
