Description

The Team Leader (TL) will provide overall leadership and technical direction of all programme activities. They will be accountable for all programme implementation and deliverables, managing all technical, management, contractual, and personnel decisions. The TL will be TI’s senior representative and trusted link with all programme stakeholders.

Technical areas of expertise will include strong knowledge of IFFs, anti-money laundering (AML), Anti-corruption, public sector reform, and governance in Latin America. Reporting to the Project Director in London, the TL responsibilities include:

  • Provide overall leadership, management, and technical direction for the program, serving as the primary liaison with FCDO on managerial, strategic, and technical matters, including responsibility for making key decisions and solving programmatic problems promptly
  • Ensure that the workplan, MEL plan, budgets and reporting efforts are aligned with award requirements, project objectives, and FCDO guidance
  • Monitor and, when needed, adapt activities to achieve results; ensure that activities are implemented effectively and in complementarity to FCDO and other donor activities
  • Update and manage Risk Registry, identify risks and issues, and address them in a timely and effective manner;
  • Oversee management of project personnel, including administrative staff, technical experts, and consultants;
  • Ensure timely and high quality delivery of reports and other deliverables such as annual work plan, quarterly and annual reports, financial reports and budget control, and others, as required.
  • Lead integration of collaboration, learning, and adaptation, knowledge management, and advocacy strategies into the activity.
  • Serve as a key liaison with the FCDO, government counterparts, local partners/stakeholders, and as the principal representative of the project .
  • Recruit for roles, delegate responsibilities to senior staff, and communicate expectations for work and contribution to project activities.
