YOUR MISSION
The project will aim to enhance the effectiveness, legitimacy, and utilisation of insider mediation as a mechanism for preventing and transforming violent conflict at the local, national, and international level in Zimbabwe through capacity development, networking, and collaboration with local civil society and government institutions. 
Overview of the position:
Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week) 
Starting date: 01.10.2022 or 01.11.2022
Location: Berlin
Duration: limited contract to 30.09.2024
Department & reporting line: Sub-Saharan Africa Unit & Head of Unit
Your main tasks:
  • Management of the overall implementation of the project
  • Support for the project partner in Zimbabwe with the organization and implementation of project activities
  • Close collaboration and coordination with the consortium partners, Search for Common Ground and Interpeace
  • Budget monitoring and financial coordination with the local partner
  • Potential travel to Zimbabwe
YOUR KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • Master’s degree within a relevant field such as Peace and Conflict Studies, Political Science, International Relations or similar
  • 3+ years’ work experience
  • Knowledge of the concept of Insider Mediation and experience in programming using this concept
  • Regional experience in Zimbabwe or sub-Saharan Africa
  • Excellent verbal and written language skills in English and German
  • Professional skills in the use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Teams) complete your profile
