The Programme

Tetra Tech is seeking international experts with international and West Africa regional experience in delivering donor-funded programmes to join our pool of technical experts for an upcoming opportunity in Nigeria. Tetra Tech has a long track record of working in Nigeria and of delivering programmes focused on governance, economic growth, human security, conflict reduction, stabilisation, climate resilience and gender

The Position

• Provide technical inputs to the programme on a short-term basis as part of a technical pool of experts.
• Work with Senior Management on identifying, designing, and delivering interventions.
• Feed into PEA, stakeholder mapping and programme learning. 
  

The Person

Essential

• Experience working at senior levels on major complex multi-disciplinary donor-funded programmes.
• With technical expertise and experience in one or more of the following areas: natural resource management and climate resilience (in relation to farmer-herder conflict); peace infrastructure; community safety and justice; early warning early response (EWER); security sector reform; political economy analysis (PEA); women, peace and security (WPS); and/or gender, equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI)
• Experience in delivering short-term technical assistance and providing quality assurance (QA) support to programme teams. 
• Fluency in English
• Experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa

Desirable

• Relevant educational qualification in the fields of International Development, Conflict, Peace and Security, Economic and Social Development or similar
• Experience working in Nigeria
• Fluency in Hausa
