Operational Partnerships Expert

Finn Church Aid (FCA) is seeking for anOperational Partnerships Expert for a fixed-term employment. The main task is to lead and coordinate the review and development of FCA partnership assessment tools and assessment processes with operational partners. This includes consultations and closely working with FCA Country Offices (COs) and relevant SAC Units (Helsinki office) and colleagues to ensure relevance and appropriateness of the assessment processes and tools and to provide related support and capacity building. Linking with the partnership assessments, the position also includes review and development of FCA partner capacity building plans and tools. The Operational Partnerships Expert will report to Global Program Manager. The position is located in Helsinki, Finland.

Areas of responsibility:

• Lead consultations with all relevant parties in COs and SAC for the review of existing partnership assessment guidelines and partnership assessment tools.
• Based on the CO consultations and in close cooperation with relevant SAC Unit and colleagues, design new FCA partnership assessment tools for different partners (tool kit), including I/N/L/NGOs, FBOs and CBOs and prepare the relevant guidance on the use of the tools.
• Support the updating of FCA Rapid Partnerships Assessment tool for humanitarian emergencies.
• Provide technical support and guidance to COs on conducting partnership assessments and the use of the available tools.
• Continued capacity building of the COs in applying the existing and new partnership assessment tools, including trainings.
• Review and development of FCA partner capacity building plans and tools.
• Support further roll out of partnership policies.
• Participate in FCA Partnership Matrix and support FCA localization agenda related tasks.
• Contribute to SDU/Programme Impact Team’s work and relevant processes as needed.
• Renew, coordinate and further develop FCA’s Standard Agreement toolkit, which includes Annual Cooperation Agreements with annexes.

Competence and Personal Requirements:

• Master’s degree in suitable area or equivalent experience.
• Some knowledge of partnerships in various operating contexts and the related demands.
• Experience of managing complex processes.
• Good ability to analyse information and process it for necessary purposes.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
• Solution-seeking and problem solving capacity.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Good IT, technical and analytical skills, incl. ability to use digital tools for analysis.
• Good abilities in English.

The position will be filled as soon as possible and it is a fixed-term employment until 31.12.2024 with six-month probation period. The compensation is based on FCA salary scale and the candidate’s level of experience.

Remote work is possiblefromFCA programme countries, and from Sweden, Estonia, France, Spain and Austria, all subject to an existing valid work permit in that country. Remote work from another location in Europe can be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to valid work permit. This is not an expat position and terms of employment for locally hired employees in Finland will be applied.
