The Humanitarian Impact Institute (HII) is in an exciting period of growth, having just rebranded from the European Sustainable Development Organisation (ESDO). The rebrand is a reflection of our increasing focus on humanitarian operations. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Italian speaking M&E expert with 5+ years experience in mixed methods M&E.
This is a permanent role working remotely, ideally full-time but part-time will also be considered for the right candidate.
This role will hold a key role in our Humanitarian Responses & Development Practice (HRDP). The HRDP delivers evaluations and large MEAL programs globally, with a focus on MENA, south Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. Most of our work is delivered in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia and the Sahel. This role will have a particular focus on South Sudan and Ethiopia.
HII and the HRDP practice is dedicated to increasing the impact of humanitarian and emergency responses, as well as development programs globally. You will be part of a diverse team delivering performance evaluations, monitoring activities, AAP studies and TPMs. Your key role will be to translate data into learning for our clients.
The role involves:
® Coordinating field TPM activities with the field teams;
® Designing evaluation and monitoring tools and evaluation matrixes;
® Analysing quantitative and qualitative data and transforming this into compelling reports and data visualisations;
® Help ensure high levels of technical competency across all projects;
® Ensure all M&E projects are intersectional, conflict, disability and gender sensitive.
The ideal candidate will have:
® 5+ years of dedicated experience in humanitarian monitoring and evaluation with a solid track record of humanitarian evaluations;
® Must be a fluent Italian speaker and reader to C1 level;
® Must be a fluent English speaker and reader to C2 level with the ability to write compelling reports in English;
® Possess advanced technical quant and qual skills; and

This role will have a competitive base salary in the region of EUR2000-2900 per month depending on the candidates experience and skillset.
