CLOSING: 13th April 2024 (advertised 25 March 2024)

Summary

HII is seeking an outgoing people-person who thrives on networking while delivering high quality winning proposals. If this sounds like you and you bring experience in humanitarian and development program fundraising, then read on.
We are looking for a full-timer based in either Ireland, the UK, Belgium, France or the Netherlands to lead our global business development. You will report directly to the CEO and join HII's Senior Management Team - playing a key role in growing HII's influence and impact across the industry.
The Role

This role will work across our practices and be focused on growing partnerships and leading business development on medium to large LTAs, frameworks and programs across our practice areas. While we work globally, we focus on MENA, south Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.

HII is dedicated to increasing the impact of humanitarian and emergency responses, as well as development programs globally. You will be leading the work of a broader business development team, mostly working with Practice Leads and the CEO. Your key role will be to build lasting, trusted client and partner relationships to win UN, FCDO, EU, USAID, WB, German, Dutch and Scandinavian donor projects.

The role involves:

Identifying and prioritising opportunities and developing and submitting winning proposals for them;
Building lasting partner and client relationships in key organisations and geographies;
Representing HII externally and contributing to building our profile;
Contributing to our targeted marketing efforts;
Providing bid positioning advice to the Senior Management Team (SMT);
Ensure all M&E projects are intersectional, conflict, disability and gender sensitive.

As a member of the SMT, contribute to the development, growth and strategic direction of HII.

This role will have a competitive base salary and will also be eligible for annual performance based payments.

In addition:

you can work remotely;

work flexibly to cater for carers, parents and other circumstances;

generous leave provisions;

work with an exceptional team on important projects; and

contribute to building an impactful organisation.

Your application should include a Cover Letter and a CV. The Cover Letter should provide examples of your experience that show how you meet the requirements of the role.
