Senior M&E Adviser (Fluent in Italian)

Summary

The Humanitarian Impact Institute (HII) is seeking a highly experienced Italian speaking M&E expert to join our full time team. You will be working across our practices delivering TPMs and evaluations for international donors and INGOs. This is a remotely based role for a dynamic and enthusiastic person with more than 15 years M&E experience. 

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years’ experience in humanitarian monitoring and evaluation, either with a specialisation in one sector or cross cutting theme; or with extensive multi-sectorial experience.

 
 

The Role 

This role will help deliver projects across HII’s Humanitarian Responses & Development Practice (HRDP). The HRDP delivers evaluations and large MEAL programs globally, with a focus on East Africa, MENA, south Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. Most of our work is delivered in Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Ukraine, Lebanon and the Sahel.

HII and the HRDP practice is dedicated to increasing the impact of humanitarian and emergency responses, as well as development programs globally. This is a senior role that would lead projects and would supervise diverse project teams delivering TPMs, performance evaluations, impact evaluations and AAP studies. Your key role will be to build lasting client relationships and deliver high quality MEAL projects for them.

The role involves:

  • Building lasting client relationships on projects you deliver;
  • Designing and delivering end-to-end MEAL projects including evaluations, TPMs and other studies such as AAP studies;
  • Providing strategic advice to both the teams in your practice and other practices within HII;
  • Help ensure high levels of technical competency across projects;
  • Ensure all M&E projects are intersectional, conflict, disability and gender sensitive.

 

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 15+ years of experience in humanitarian monitoring and evaluation;
  • The highest standards of writing;
  • A specialisation in one sector or cross-cutting theme OR extensive multi-sectoral experience;
  • Knowledge of business development processes;
  • Advanced technical quant and qual skills;  
  • Complete natural fluency in written and spoken English and Italian;
