Junior Finance Professional LFA

Our Dutch office has a specialised department for donor-funded projects, with dedicated project managers to coordinate technical assistance, audits and quality assurance projects. The purpose of project management is to ensure compliance with the contract and to coordinate the team of experts with diverse specialisms, ensure that timelines are met, perform quality control of outputs and minimize the administrative burden for the LFA experts, so they can dedicate all their time to the actual services to be performed.

Requirements of the Junior Finance Professional:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in finance or accounting.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working in a financial role, preferably with experience related to
o reviewing and negotiating budgets;
o financial accounting, with the ability to review and analyse accounting transactions;
o financial management systems, with the ability to review and assess internal controls and financial processes and procedures and provide recommendations for improvement;
o review of financial statements (including income and expenditure statements, balance sheets and cash reconciliation statements); and
o review and interpretation of audit reports.
Must have national work experience and be a resident of Zambia.
Must have good written and spoken English and preferably Nyanja.
The Junior Finance Professional is expected to:
ü Have good knowledge of the local accounting framework and financial management systems.
ü Have national work experience.
